21st September is renowned world-wide as International Peace Day. The General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and people.
The United Nations International Day of Peace provides an opportunity for all humanity to come together, in spirit an in action, to forward the ideals of and conditions for peace.
The day’s theme for 2016 is “The Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace.”
At Winchester, we too celebrated this eminent day by taking pictures for social media and tagging it #makepeacenotwar #winchesterjebelali.
Our students were undoubtedly successful in creating artistic images that promote peace and happiness.
